HY10 is redefining payment cards with a bespoke platform that integrates finance & lifestyle services. Our multi-currency payment solutions enable seamless, high-value transactions with advanced control features.
This is a hands-on, high impact role at the heart of our finance function. You’ll work closely with the Financial Manager and CFO, supporting core financial operations, regulatory compliance, and ongoing business growth.
Key Responsibilities- Core Financial Operations
- Own end-to-end Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes, ensuring vendors are paid on time and collections are optimised.
- Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations across multiple currencies.
- Maintain the general ledger, process manual journals, including accruals, prepayments, ensuring the trial balance is accurate.
- Act as the primary finance partner for the Lifestyle team.
- Month End Close
- Lead balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Support monthly management accounts and variance analysis.
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline month end.
- EMI Compliance & Safeguarding
- Perform daily safeguarding reconciliations in line with FCA requirements.
- Maintain accurate, audit-ready records of safeguarded funds.
- Audit, Tax & Projects
- Support statutory audits and liaise with external auditors.
- Assist on ad-hoc projects with the Financial Controller and CFO.
- Newly qualified, recently completed ACCA, CIMA, ACA (or equivalent).
- Previous experience within a fintech, Electronic Money Institution (EMI), or payments institution.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and regulatory requirements.
- Advanced Excel skills are a must; experience with Xero and automation tools (Dext) is a huge plus.
- You thrive in a fast-paced startup environment, are comfortable with ambiguity, and aren’t afraid to roll up your sleeves on basic tasks while keeping an eye on the big picture.
- Able to work from our West End (Oxford Circus) office 3 days per week.
- £45,000 - £55,000 base salary (depending on experience).
