The Bartender/Server works at our shoreside Café, The Landing. This is a responsible, demanding but fun job with an opportunity to meet a wide range of interesting people. Bartenders are under the direct supervision of the Director of Food & Beverage.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Knowledge of all food and beverage menus including daily specials.
- Answer questions regarding menu and beverage/cocktail options.
- Process orders and enter them accurately into the POS system.
- Receive payment from the customer and process change.
- Prepare beverages ordered.
- Provide ultimate customer service in an efficient, courteous manner.
- Uphold sanitation and food safety principles.
- Replenish condiments and other supplies.
- Dispense alcoholic beverages responsibly in accordance with policy, procedure, and legal requirements.
- Other duties as needed or assigned.
All food and beverage staff work as a team to support one another in the delivery of exceptional service.
Required Education and Experience:
- Minimum age 18.
- Prior bartender experience required.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow through with simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English.
- Ability to perform work tasks that require bending, stooping, climbing, and reaching.
- Basic math skills.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Must be able to safely perform the essential duties for the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

- Harbor, marine (maritime) environment, indoor cafe with patio and upper deck.
