About The Company:
Since 1896, HX has championed sustainability in the expedition cruise sector, launching the world’s first battery-hybrid expedition cruise ships and leading efforts to banish heavy fuel oil and single-use plastics from our fleet. We are at the forefront of driving sustainable practices in expedition cruises that prioritise greener travel. For nearly 130 years we have worked to improve what we do for guests and partners alike.
We are a group of explorers delivering journeys from the Arctic to the Galápagos Islands on purpose-built expedition ships, spanning hundreds of destinations in over 30 countries across five continents. Our ambition is to become the number one sustainable expedition brand in the world, with a can-do mindset, humble leadership, and a collaborative culture.
Our team operates across sea and land, including hubs in London, Prague, and offices across Europe, the US, and APAC. One thing you’ll find is a group of people connected by the same mindset and purpose—to explore more, champion sustainability, and become the world's best expedition cruise operator.
Our initiatives include the Single-use plastic ban, hybrid-electric ships reducing fuel consumption, guest involvement in beach cleanups, and the HX Foundation supporting local communities and environmental initiatives in regions where HX ships sail.
