This is an exciting opportunity for a non-medical prescriber (nurse or pharmacist) who is keen to support the ADHD Pharmacological branch of the neurodevelopmental team within the children and young person's service (ages 6-18 years). This role could be either a Band 7-8a development role or an 8a role depending on experience. The Neurodevelopmental Service opened its doors in 2022 and as a service we are keen to use the latest research and guidance to provide a high-quality approach to supporting need, diagnostic assessments and medication support. The post holder will work closely with the Consultant Nurse and general manager as the service continues to develop and evolve. We welcome applications from Registered Nurses (Adult/Child/Mental health/Learning Disability) and Pharmacists.

The role involves supporting the development of the ADHD Pharmacological branch of the service whilst facilitating ADHD diagnostic assessments, ADHD medication initiations, titration, stabilisation, and review clinics. It will also involve providing clinical guidance to young people and caregivers around meeting identified needs. The role also involves utilising leadership skills to support the transformation of the service and staff development.

We actively seek to engage people who use our services and our communities in improving the mental wellbeing of the local population. We work closely with other NHS and voluntary sector organisations who provide services and support people who use services and carers. Surrey is a beautiful county lying just 30 minutes away from Central London and from the South Coast. Our historic market towns and bustling districts are enveloped in wonderful countryside, and our excellent road and rail networks bring the rest of the country within easy reach. For international travel, both Gatwick and Heathrow airports are nearby.

Please note that we reserve the right to close posts as soon as sufficient applications are received. Working from home contracts do not attract high cost area payments. We look forward to receiving your application!
