Senior Structural Technician Warwick (with working from home) £42,000 – £47,000 + car allowance depending on level/experience Description The civil and structural engineering team are nationally recognised for delivering sustainable and integrated design. With the team growing, this Senior Technician role will allow you to work in various sectors as part of an enthusiastic and committed team of engineers and technicians. You will have the opportunity to work in various sectors as part of an enthusiastic and committed team, working on various medium-sized projects, where you will understand the latest industry-standard software and information management techniques in generating high-quality, accurate and detailed design packages. Ideally you would have a knowledge of computational modelling using Dynamo, Grasshopper or Python. Key Objectives To be responsible for the delivery of discrete packages of work under the supervision of a Senior Engineer. Contribute to the development and mentoring of our Early Careers population and the continuous improvement of departmental capabilities. On occasion, manage Structural CAD involvement in small to medium-size projects, including time, cost, quality and delivery. To provide appropriate levels of Structural design support to a range of different projects. Requirements Technical Proficient in using Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD and Navisworks. Proficient in using CADS RC 2D and able to produce and check bar bending schedules for reinforced concrete elements. Knowledge & Experience BIM Level 2, current BIM legislation, and how to implement it within projects. Traditional and sustainable building materials. Current UK technical standards/publications and legislation requirements. CDM regulations and associated responsibilities for designers. About You Eligible to pass criteria for security clearance and airside pass applications. Ability to work under the supervision of a Principal Technician or Senior Engineer to produce 2D & 3D deliverables from concept through to fully coordinated detailed design.
