Interim Solutions are working with a client within the distribution space to appoint an IT Business Partner, who will operate as a strategic liaison between IT and the wider business, acting as a trusted advisor and business integrator. The focus is on understanding business needs, translating them into effective digital solutions, and ensuring technology enables and accelerates business performance. This role is critical for ensuring that IT is not just a service provider, but a true enabler of business value and innovation.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Business Partnership: Develop a deep understanding of the commercial, operational, and strategic objectives. Collaborate with business leaders to shape and influence the digital agenda.
- Business Engagement & Relationship Management: Build strong, trusted relationships with stakeholders across the business. Serve as a primary point of contact between business units and IT, ensuring alignment, transparency, and responsiveness.
- Demand Shaping & Roadmapping: Work with business functions to capture and prioritise technology needs, translating them into structured initiatives and roadmaps that reflect business priorities.
- Project & Change Leadership: Represent the business in IT-led projects, ensuring outcomes align with business goals. Champion change and ensure smooth adoption of new technologies and processes.
- Ownership of Key Business Applications: Take responsibility for key applications, acting as the business-aligned IT lead for ongoing support, enhancements, and vendor relationships.
- Value Delivery: Monitor the performance of IT solutions in the business context and track benefits realisation. Advocate for continuous improvement based on measurable business outcomes.
- Innovation Enablement: Identify opportunities where emerging technology can create competitive advantage or operational efficiency. Drive business cases that support innovation.
- Operational Interface: Ensure that IT services and support functions are meeting business expectations, escalating and resolving issues where necessary.
- Experience: Strong background working at the intersection of IT and business, ideally within a logistics or distribution environment. Experience in ERP implementation is highly desirable.
- Commercial Acumen: Ability to understand business processes, challenges, and opportunities—and translate them into technology-enabled solutions.
- Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Business Analysis & Problem Solving: Skilled in identifying root causes, assessing needs, and driving data-driven decisions.
