Job Opportunity: Registered Services Manager
Location: CA7 and CA6 Areas
Salary: Competitive (DOE)

My client, a leader in the Residential Childrens Care sector, is seeking a Registered Services Manager to oversee a Multi-Building Residential Childrens Home. This pivotal role involves managing the care of 4-6 children, typically on a short-term basis, ensuring their progress, safety, and wellbeing. You will lead a dedicated team while collaborating with external agencies to define permanency plans and ensure high-quality care in alignment with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Leadership: Lead a team, ensuring a cohesive approach to service delivery and effective management of admissions and discharges.
  • Quality of Care: Promote positive outcomes and safeguarding, ensuring childrens voices are heard and their rights respected.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Maintain high standards of care and ensure the service complies with Childrens Homes Regulations and Ofsted requirements.
  • Team Development: Mentor and guide staff to deliver exceptional care and performance.
  • Financial and Administrative Oversight: Manage budgets, staffing structures, and administrative tasks, including payroll and reporting.
  • Collaboration: Build strong partnerships with local authorities, families, and external agencies to achieve the best outcomes for the children in care.

Essential Experience:

  • Significant experience as an Assistant Manager or Registered Manager in childrens residential care settings.
  • Knowledge of Childrens Homes Regulations, quality standards, and safeguarding.
  • Experience of managing budgets and leading a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to manage challenging situations with resilience and patience.

Qualifications:

  • Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young Peoples Workforce (or equivalent).
  • Enrolled in Level 5 Diploma (or willingness to complete within 2 years).

Additional Requirements:

  • Full driving license.
  • Satisfactory DBS check.
