Skilled HGV Technician Days shift Pattern
Location: Derwent Way, Wath-Upon-Dearne, Rotherham
Hours: 40 hours per week based on a day shift Monday to Friday 0800-1600 (Shift can have flexibility). Occasional Saturday morning work may be needed. Occasional overtime will be needed to support operational demands.
Hourly rate: Excellent rates of pay and opportunities for overtime.
Additional benefits: 25 days annual leave, rising to 28 days after 10 years service, plus bank holidays, Employee Assistance Programme, Life Assurance.

The opportunity: Looking for your next opportunity? Look no further. We are searching for a skilled Vehicle and Plant Technician to join our amazing, friendly team. In this role, you will help keep our mobile and static plant equipment/vehicles running at their best, ensuring they are repaired and back in service as quickly as possible. If you enjoy taking ownership of your work, you will have the freedom to perform diagnostics and determine the best approach to maintenance and repairs.
What you will be doing:
- Carrying out fast, accurate fault diagnostics and selecting the appropriate repair methods
- Completing routine running repairs across a range of equipment
- Undertaking running repairs on HGVs
- Undertaking running repairs on LCVs
- Working independently to maintain and repair a range of vehicles in a purpose-built workshop.
What we are looking for:
- You will have a relevant City & Guilds or a NVQ Level 3 qualification.
- Completion of a recognised apprenticeship or the equivalent level workplace experience.
- First class diagnostic skills and fully conversant with the latest plant repair and maintenance techniques.
- Ability to manage own workload and work to the highest standards.
- Flexible and proactive in approach.
- HGV Category C license would be beneficial but is not essential.
- Full driving licence is required due to our remote location and to be able to travel to other sites.
Please note that due to the working location you will be required to complete BPSS clearance.
