Interim Project Manager - Demand Forecasting & Supply Planning Transformation
HW Interim Solutions are working with a fast moving consumer business seeking an experienced Interim Project Manager to take control of a critical but underperforming demand forecasting and supply planning transformation programme. This role requires a highly credible delivery professional who can stabilise the programme, challenge suppliers effectively, coach internal teams, and ensure a viable product is delivered on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of a failing supply planning / demand forecasting system implementation programme
- Drive delivery of a viable product within agreed timelines
- Apply strong Agile programme leadership to reset pace, governance, and accountability
- Challenge external suppliers and implementation partners where delivery is falling short
- Support and coach internal planning teams while improving programme discipline
- Establish and maintain core delivery artefacts including: RAID logs, Stakeholder reporting, Delivery planning, Standard programme governance documentation
- Balance functional requirements against realistic delivery outcomes
Key Requirements
- Proven experience delivering or rescuing complex planning tool / supply chain / forecasting transformation programmes
- Strong background in FMCG or fast-moving consumer environments
- Excellent Agile programme delivery capability
- Experience managing underperforming suppliers / systems integrators
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to operate in challenging environments
- Able to bring structure, pace, and accountability to project teams
- Comfortable operating at both strategic and detailed programme governance levels
- Prior turnaround or recovery experience highly desirable
- Experience with planning system implementations highly advantageous
Location: South West (3 days onsite initially)
Duration: 12 months +
Rate: Competitive Day Rate (Outside IR35)
