HW Interim Solutions are seeking an experienced CISO , on behalf of a client, to lead a strategic review of a current security landscape and define the roadmap that will future proof organisation.

This role responsible for assessing the as is security posture, designing the to be state, identifying key risks and producing a clear, actionable plan to mitigate them.

The CISO will work closely with senior leadership, technology teams and in house subject matter experts to build capability, strengthen governance and leave the organisation with a comprehensive security roadmap that can be executed internally.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a full enterprise-wide security assessment, covering technology, data, processes, controls and third-party dependencies.
• Identify strategic, operational and regulatory risks, and prioritise them based on business impact and likelihood.
• Define the organisation’s target state security architecture, governance model and operating practices.
• Produce a step by step mitigation plan with clear workstreams, timelines, resource needs and success measures.
• Develop a future proof security strategy that supports business growth, resilience and compliance expectations.
• Coach and mentor in house SMEs to ensure knowledge transfer and internal capability uplift.
• Engage with senior stakeholders to build consensus, provide comprehensive reporting and align recommendations with business objectives.
• Ensure security considerations are embedded across digital, data, infrastructure, cloud and change programmes.

This is offered on a day rate basis, outside of IR35
