Category Manager – IT Procurement
We are supporting a well-established organisation with the appointment of an experienced IT Category Manager on a 6 month fixed term contract.
Reporting to the Head of Indirect Procurement, you will take ownership of the IT category as part of a focused cost optimisation programme, identifying and delivering measurable commercial savings.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead IT category strategy, sourcing and supplier negotiations.
- Analyse spend, contracts and supplier arrangements to identify savings opportunities.
- Develop and deliver category plans and commercial improvement initiatives.
- Manage senior stakeholder and supplier relationships.
- Track and report savings and commercial benefits.
- Support wider procurement improvement projects.
Candidate profile:
- Proven experience in IT procurement/category management.
- Strong commercial and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrable experience delivering cost savings.
- Confident managing senior stakeholders and suppliers.
- Comfortable working in a fast paced, project led environment.
- Strong analytical and strategic procurement capability.
