This role will work closely with the Sports Team, supporting professional athletes, sports professionals and related businesses with their tax affairs, while also contributing to the wider Media Group portfolio. The work is varied, people‑focused and advisory‑led, offering exposure to complex personal and corporate tax matters in a specialist sector.

The Role – Making an Impact
We are looking for a qualified ACCA and/or ATT (or equivalent) professional to join our Business Solutions department, with a particular focus on supporting the Sports Team with tax work. You will play a key role in delivering high‑quality accounts and tax services to sports clients, while also supporting a broader portfolio of media and creative clients. This is an excellent opportunity to develop specialist sector knowledge, gain exposure to complex tax issues, and become a trusted adviser to high‑profile individuals.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Sports and Media Team with personal tax work for professional athletes, sports related and media clients.
- Review personal tax returns, including complex and high‑profile cases.
- Review partnership accounts.
- Communicate directly with clients, building strong, trusted relationships.
- Support with company secretarial tasks.
- Assist with billing and managing WIP.
- Supervise, mentor and train junior members of staff.
- Attend networking events and represent the Sports and Media teams externally.
- Collaborate with specialists across the firm, ensuring seamless client service.
- Take on additional ad‑hoc duties as they arise in line with team needs.

You’ll bring technical strength, strong organisation, and a solution‑focused mindset. We’re looking for:
- ACCA or ATT qualification.
- Experience with media/sports clients is desirable.
- Experience reviewing personal tax returns.
- Knowledge of issues affecting footballers.
- Identifying overseas tax matters and reporting requirements.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to take ownership of your work.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise under pressure.
- A solid understanding of limited company accounts and the issues affecting small companies.
- Knowledge of PAYE regulations.
- Confident using Microsoft Excel and Word.
