HW Finance is partnering with a growing organisation in York to recruit an Interim Finance Business Partner to join their team on an initial 6-month assignment. This role offers strong potential for extension or even a permanent opportunity for the right individual.

As Finance Business Partner, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of business strategy by providing strong financial leadership, governance, insight, and constructive challenge. You’ll enable stakeholders to make informed, value-driven decisions while supporting the organisation’s wider mission.

You’ll also work closely with Group Services, contributing to budgeting, forecasting, month-end processes, and overseeing financial reporting, ledger integrity, and investment activity.

Day to day, this role will look like:

  • Work in partnership with the organisation’s stakeholders to identify and understand business issues, risks and financial information needs and provide insight that will add value to the business area.
  • Act as a primary contact for finance issues arising in the designated business area(s); providing technical and financial advice and acting as a Finance representative on internal committees and project groups as required.
  • Provide the accounting support to the financial and investment teams, ensuring transactions, portfolio balances and fees are accurately recorded and reported.
