Tax Compliance Manager

HW Finance are delighted to be partnering with a large, successful UK organisation to recruit a Tax & Compliance Manager.
With a strong leadership team and clear ambitions for continued growth, this is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business in a broad role that combines tax reporting and compliance with controls, process improvement, tax planning and technology.
Reporting to the CFO, you will take responsibility for key tax reporting and compliance activities while working closely with stakeholders across the wider organisation.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Preparation and submission of annual Corporation Tax returns
- Quarterly Corporation Tax provisions and payment estimates
- Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns
- Supporting the annual R&D tax claim
- Strengthening controls around tax reporting and compliance
- Providing advice on tax matters and responding to queries from internal stakeholders, HMRC and auditors
- Supporting tax planning activity
- Improving processes and helping drive greater digitisation and use of technology within tax
- Monitoring changes in tax legislation and supporting internal tax assurance reviews
About you
We're keen to speak with ACA, ACCA or CTA qualified professionals with experience in a tax and compliance environment. You'll be comfortable working with large data sets and ERP systems, with the ability to manage deadlines while also identifying opportunities to improve existing processes and controls. Just as importantly, you'll be confident engaging with people across the business and interested in a role that gives you exposure beyond traditional tax compliance
