I’m delighted to be partnering with a high‑quality, market‑leading organisation that we know exceptionally well, having worked with them successfully on multiple occasions. This is a business with real momentum and significant transformation activity underway. As part of this journey, they are now looking to appoint a Strategy & Transformation Finance Director on a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract basis. This is a highly visible, high‑impact role sitting at the heart of decision‑making. Reporting into senior leadership and working closely with the Strategy, Finance and Executive teams, you will take financial ownership of the group’s strategy and transformation agenda. This is a role for someone who thrives in complex, fast‑moving environments and enjoys being hands‑on.
- Acting as the finance lead across major strategy and transformation programmes, including scenario planning, cost/benefit analysis and performance tracking
- Full ownership of financial governance for transformation activity, including cost base analysis, cost‑out initiatives and benefit realisation
- Leading financial insight and challenge across M&A activity, joint ventures and major strategic projects
- Acting as Finance Director for Joint Ventures and major investments, ensuring robust reporting, forecasting and stakeholder engagement
- Partnering closely with the CFO, CEO and senior leadership to provide clear, compelling financial insight that shapes decision‑making
We’re looking for a high‑calibre individual from a larger or complex organisation, who has operated at pace and through change:
- Qualified accountant with strong post‑qualification experience
- Background in strategic finance, transformation or FP&A within a sizeable, complex business
- Proven experience reviewing cost base, driving cost‑out and operating in transformation environments
- Strong exposure to M&A, corporate development or complex group / JV structures
- A confident senior business partner, able to influence and challenge at Executive Committee level
- Commercially minded, intellectually curious, and comfortable operating with ambiguity
Why This Role?
- A chance to be at the centre of change, not the sidelines
- Genuine exposure to Board‑level decision‑making
- Work with a business that is actively investing in its future
- Opportunity to make a lasting impact, with meaningful responsibility and autonomy
This role will require someone based from the London office at least 3 days per week, with hybrid working offered. You will be offered a salary of £115k - £125k + £8.5k car allowance + many other benefits.
