We’re supporting a private equity–backed business in Yorkshire as they appoint an Interim Head of FP&A to strengthen financial insight, elevate decision-making, and support the next phase of growth. This is a senior, hands-on FP&A leadership role with real influence. You’ll sit at the heart of strategic planning, partnering closely with the leadership team and PE stakeholders, while leading a small, high-performing FP&A team.
The Role
As Head of FP&A, you’ll be responsible for building best-in-class planning, modelling and reporting capability across the business, ensuring data-driven decisions are embedded at every level.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ownership of budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning
- Leading financial modelling, scenario planning and sensitivity analysis
- Developing robust business cases, investment appraisals and ROI analysis
- Delivering clear, value-adding MI, dashboards and BI outputs
- Acting as a true strategic partner to the Exec team and PE investors
- Driving improvements in data quality, systems and reporting efficiency
- Leading and developing a small FP&A team
Qualifications:
- Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
- Proven FP&A leadership experience in a fast-paced or PE-backed environment
- Strong financial modelling and scenario planning capability
- Comfortable working with BI tools and complex data sets
- Commercially astute, confident challenging senior stakeholders
- Hands-on, delivery-focused and able to operate in ambiguity
