HW Finance are looking for an experienced Interim Financial Reporting Consultant for a successful, outside IR35, based in Manchester city centre / hybrid for 3 to 6 months.
As Financial Reporting Consultant you will primarily deal with statutory reporting, consolidations and audit and across a group of multiple entities. Working with finance teams and external auditors to deliver accurate, timely accounts and reporting, while helping coordinate the consolidation process.
Duties:
- Prepare and support the delivery of statutory accounts for multiple legal entities.
- Coordinate audit activity, including preparing audit schedules, responding to queries, managing information requests and populating files.
- Preparation and review of consolidated financial statements.
- Reconcile intercompany balances and resolve consolidation discrepancies
- Review financial information for accuracy, completeness and consistency.
- Work with internal finance teams and external advisers to meet reporting deadlines.
- Identify and address issues in reporting processes, controls and supporting documentation.
Person Specification:
- Qualified accountant, with a recognised UK qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
- Seasoned interim who can work autonomously but is happy to do the heavy lifting.
- Strong experience in financial reporting, statutory accounts and audit.
- Proven experience supporting consolidations across multiple entities.
- Confident managing audit requests and working with senior stakeholders.
- Strong technical accounting, analytical and organisational skills.
- Able to work independently and deliver to tight deadlines.
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach.
Interim assignment for circa 3-6 months, immediate interview / start.
Based in Manchester city centre, hybrid working model and outside IR35.
