HW Finance are delighted to be partnering with a rapidly growing, investor-backed business within the FMCG Industry. Our client are entering a critical growth phase, with strong ambitions to scale from £40m Turnover to at least double in size. This role will suit someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves and getting into the detail, while also providing the financial insight and control needed to support a scaling organisation and its investors. The successful candidate will own the finance function, working closely with leadership and stakeholders across the business to ensure robust financial control, clear reporting, and strong commercial insight. With another potential event horizon in 3-4 years, the role will also play a key part in preparing the business financially and operationally for that journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and run the entire finance function, ensuring robust financial processes and controls.
- Maintain a strong balance between statutory compliance, financial control, and commercial insight.
- Provide financial leadership to support the company’s continued high-growth trajectory.
Reporting & Investor Relations
- Lead monthly reporting for investors and leadership.
- Deliver clear, insightful management accounts and financial analysis.
- Analyse financial and operational data to identify performance drivers and opportunities.
Commercial Insight
- Partner with stakeholders across the business to support strategic decision making.
- Use financial data to support growth initiatives and operational improvements.
- Provide detailed analysis to help guide the business toward its revenue ambition.
Finance Operations
- Lead the month-end close process and financial reporting cycles.
- Ensure strong financial controls, compliance, and statutory reporting.
- Improve finance processes and systems as the business continues to scale.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with teams across the organisation to understand their objectives and challenges.
- Act as a trusted partner to internal stakeholders across operations and leadership.
- Be comfortable getting into the weeds across multiple areas of the business.
