HW Finance are pleased to be partnering with a leading construction and manufacturing business, backed by Private Equity and in their next phase of growth, to hire a newly created Finance Manager position.
About the role
This is a hands‑on and varied role, involved in month end process, system changes and process improvements, embedding best practice, and managing a small team. This role is ideal for someone seeking their first step up to a Finance Manager position, offering broad exposure in a fast‑growing and successful business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the management accounting and reporting function across a division of the business
- Manage balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and prepayments
- Support the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors
- Review financial statements, month end and year end accounts
- Conduct variance analysis and investigate any discrepancies
- Business partner operational and commercial leaders, to support business decisions
- Work closely with department heads to develop budgets and forecasts
- Present meaningful financial analysis and commentary
- Identify and implement process improvements
- Ad hoc support to Financial Controller and wider team
About You
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified (or equivalent)
- Strong management accounting or financial reporting background
- Proactive and professional in approach
