Oversee the day-to-day operations of the warehouse and stores, ensuring efficient handling of goods, accurate stock control, and compliance with H&S standards. This role is critical to maintaining smooth supply chain operations and supporting construction projects by ensuring timely availability of materials.

Responsibilities

  • Goods Management: Record all goods received and dispatched accurately in the inventory system.
  • Goods Management: Inspect deliveries for quality and quantity, reporting discrepancies promptly.
  • Goods Management: Manage and prepare goods for collection/despatch to meet project needs.
  • Stock Control: Monitor and maintain accurate stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.
  • Stock Control: Conduct regular stock checks and reconcile inventory records.
  • Procurement Coordination: Work closely with the Procurement Manager to forecast material requirements.
  • Procurement Coordination: Assist in placing orders and tracking deliveries to meet project timelines.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure the warehouse and stores are maintained in a clean, organised, and safe condition.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Adhere to all Health & Safety regulations and company policies.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective actions where necessary.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience in warehouse supervision or similar role, preferably in construction or related industry.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems and MS Office applications.
  • Understanding of Health & Safety regulations in a warehouse environment.
  • Excellent communication.

  • Full Time, Permanent role.
  • Monday - Friday 8:30am - 17:00pm (40 hours per week).
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays as standard.
