hVIVO would like to recruit a Resource Specialist to take ownership of the medical, nursing and ancillary rota to ensure all sites within our clinical sites are appropriately staffed. hVIVO conducts human challenge clinical trials. The end goal of our clinical trials is to potentially eradicate common illnesses like the common cold and flu completely – or at least make treatment of them as easy and effective as possible. Volunteers are central to the work that we do. Our studies focus on testing new treatments on real people, in a safe, controlled, clinical environment.
The Resource Specialist will ensure optimum resource to support effective and efficient operational delivery. They will work closely with the senior clinical staff and wider business to design and adapt a staffing plan for each study and provide statistical data to aid operational decisions, appropriate capacity planning and accurate forecasting. This is a permanent role based at our offices in London, E1 (Whitechapel) and E14 (Canary Wharf).
Main Responsibilities- Manages the Clinical Operations monthly rota ensuring the rota is created and released according to the hSITE rota Standards;
- Adherence to ICH/GCP and best practice at all times;
- Collaboration and communication with Clinical Operations Team and hSite project teams to determine resourcing requirements.
- Inputs into hSite quarterly operational resourcing forecast for hVIVO within hSITE, considering all areas within the business and their needs during the process.
- Manage the hVIVO working bank database ensure all staff receive appropriate communication and documentation.
- Work with the hSITE study project teams to ensure appropriate staffing requirements identifying and implementing possible efficiencies and maximising resource utilisation;
- Manage the internal Resource Scheduling system by delegating as appropriate; building new study schedules into the system, and manage staffing levels throughout live studies by ensuring allocated staff are appropriately trained to execute the task and all study assessments are covered;
- Ensure Clinical Operations staff receive required documentation to perform their daily duties.
- Train new starters to the Clinical Resource Team in resourcing activities when applicable.
- Coordinate the 24-hour emergency on-call rota for Medical personnel within hSITE. Liaison with the external providers over calls received and delegate monthly checks on the service.
- Delegate the testing of the Clinical Operations Emergency Bleep System in-line with hVIVO SOP’s and OI’s and maintain appropriate documentation.
