hVIVO is seeking a Development Scientist to join our team of scientists responsible for developing and validating molecular, virology, microbiology, and immunology assays in line with hVIVO\’s corporate objectives and priorities. The Development Scientist will lead bespoke R&D client projects as part of our lab services and contribute to the development strategy of our business and lab capabilities, engaging directly with clients as needed. hVIVO is a dynamic global leader in the pharmaceutical early phase research sector, recently expanding into discovery research to investigate human diseases and accelerate the development of better treatments. Candidates should have proven experience in prioritizing and delivering multiple activities aligned with strategic goals, with effective communication of progress and risks to management. They should be capable of working independently, managing time efficiently, analyzing complex data, and presenting findings clearly. Experience in training and mentoring junior staff, managing operational project delivery, and working within quality management systems (GCP, GLP, ISO, GMP) is essential. Knowledge of regulatory guidelines and compliance with Good Clinical Practice and Good Laboratory Practice is advantageous. Core Responsibilities Provide scientific expertise in assay development and validation to support business growth; Manage the delivery of internal and client research projects; Prepare and review study protocols, data, and final reports for clinical and lab studies; Communicate analyzed data to relevant stakeholders; Manage time effectively to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks; Establish budgets and resource requirements for experiments; Update management regularly and compile large data sets into presentable formats; Train and mentor junior staff and introduce new technologies and processes; Oversee operational delivery of multiple projects; Liaise with QA to ensure timely audits and compliance; Ensure all work complies with relevant quality and safety standards; Assist in writing and reviewing publications; Review and update SOPs to ensure scientific robustness and regulatory compliance; Maintain laboratory standards and health & safety regulations; Participate in conferences, client meetings, and lectures; Hold a PhD with experience in virology, microbiology, or immunology; Experience in assay development and validation in a commercial setting; Experience collaborating with research teams on protocols; Operational management experience and industry expertise in relevant disciplines. #J-18808-Ljbffr
