Electrical Project Manager – £50,000–£55,000 + Company Vehicle
Location: Wakefield, with nationwide project travel
Salary: £50,000–£55,000, potentially negotiable for the right person

We’re recruiting an experienced Electrical Project Manager to take responsibility for commercial projects from initial design and quotation through to final account, completion and sign-off.
This is a senior, hands‑on delivery role suited to an electrically biased Project Manager or Electrical Contracts Manager who understands both the technical and commercial sides of project delivery.
You’ll act as the main point of contact throughout each project, coordinate multiple building services teams and ensure works are delivered safely, commercially and to programme.
The role
- Lead projects from design review and quotation through to completion and final account
- Review drawings, specifications and consultant designs to identify technical or installation issues
- Support electrical design development and buildability reviews
- Prepare and manage project programmes, budgets, costs and variations
- Coordinate electrical, HVAC, plumbing and building teams
- Manage direct labour, subcontractors, suppliers and material procurement
- Chair project meetings and maintain strong relationships with clients and consultants
- Manage RFIs, progress reports, project documentation and commercial information
- Ensure works comply with current electrical regulations, specifications and health and safety requirements
- Oversee testing, commissioning, certification, handover and project sign-off
- Take ownership of multiple projects while maintaining quality, programme and profitability
What we’re looking for
- Previous experience as an Electrical Project Manager, Electrical Contracts Manager or M&E Project Manager
- Strong electrical technical knowledge and the ability to review or challenge consultant designs
- Experience delivering commercial electrical installation or fit‑out projects
- Comfortable managing projects from pre‑construction through to final account
- Good understanding of project costing, quotations, variations and commercial reporting
- Confident coordinating multiple trades and acting as the main client contact
- Able to manage labour, subcontractors, suppliers and changing project priorities
- Strong leadership, communication and problem‑solving skills
- Relevant electrical qualifications would be advantageous
- SMSTS, ECS/CSCS, 18th Edition or Testing and Inspection qualifications would be beneficial
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to travel nationally and stay away when required
