Are you an experienced Compliance Manager with a background in Facilities Management, Building Services or another highly regulated environment?

We're recruiting on behalf of a leading facilities management organisation for a Compliance Manager to join a prestigious critical healthcare site in Westminster.

This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of statutory and engineering compliance across the site, ensuring maintenance activities are carried out safely, efficiently and in line with legislation, company policies and industry best practice.

While previous healthcare experience is advantageous, we're also keen to hear from candidates with transferable compliance experience from sectors such as data centres, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, utilities, aviation or defence.

The Role

As Compliance Manager, you'll be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of statutory compliance across the site.

You'll work closely with engineering teams, subcontractors and Authorised Persons to ensure safe systems of work are followed, compliance documentation is maintained and contractors operate in line with site procedures.

This is a hands-on role that combines compliance auditing, contractor management, risk management and continuous improvement to support the safe operation of a critical environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage statutory and engineering compliance across the site.
  • Review and approve Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
  • Ensure subcontractors comply with site rules, health & safety procedures and statutory requirements.
  • Conduct compliance audits and inspections of engineering works.
  • Monitor and maintain compliance records, digital systems and documentation.
  • Support the management of the site's Authority to Work and Permit to Work processes.
  • Investigate compliance issues, incidents and non-conformances, implementing corrective actions where required.
  • Provide guidance and training to engineers, supervisors and subcontractors on compliance procedures.
  • Work closely with Authorised Persons and support future AP responsibilities.
  • Promote a strong culture of safety, compliance and continuous improvement.

Ideal experience

  • Previous experience in a Compliance Manager, Technical Compliance, Engineering Compliance or Estates Compliance role.
  • A background within Facilities Management, Building Services or another regulated engineering environment.
  • Strong knowledge of statutory compliance, health & safety legislation and contractor management.
  • Experience reviewing RAMS and auditing compliance documentation.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to challenge unsafe practices.
  • Experience using CAFM or digital compliance management systems.

Healthcare experience is desirable but not essential . Candidates from other critical or regulated industries with transferable compliance experience are encouraged to apply.

  • Salary & Benefits
  • Salary up to £50,000 (with flexibility for the right candidate)

£1,000 annual allowance for each additional Authorised Person (AP) responsibility undertaken

  • Overtime opportunities
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Company sick pay after successful probation
  • Ongoing training and development, including the opportunity to gain additional AP responsibilities
  • Excellent long-term career prospects within a global Facilities Management organisation
