We are recruiting a Shift Electrical Engineer to join the on-site team at a prestigious commercial building near Liverpool Street. This is a day-shift role working 7am–7pm, suited to an electrically biased engineer with strong experience in PPM, fault finding and reactive maintenance within a commercial building environment. You’ll be part of an established shift team delivering reliable, compliant building services on a high-profile site.

The role

  • Electrical Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
  • Electrical fault finding, repairs and reactive works
  • Maintenance of lighting, power and LV distribution systems
  • Acting as Low Voltage Authorised Person (LVAP) on site
  • Supporting statutory compliance and safe systems of work
  • Completing job sheets, permits and compliance documentation
  • Liaising with the client and supervising subcontractors when required
  • (Some mechanical exposure is involved, but this is an electrically focused role.)

What we’re looking for

  • Level 3 Electrical qualification (City & Guilds / NVQ or equivalent)
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • Experience in commercial building maintenance or FM
  • Strong knowledge of PPM and reactive maintenance
  • Comfortable working day shifts in a client-facing role
  • LVAP certification
  • HVAP experience is beneficial but not essential.
