- We are looking for an experienced
Senior Estimator to join our growing Facilities Management team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in Facilities Management, Building Services, M&E or Construction who is looking to play a key role in delivering successful tenders and supporting business growth.
The Role
As a
Senior Estimator , you will be responsible for preparing accurate estimates and tender submissions for Facilities Management and General Works projects.
Working closely with clients, suppliers and operational teams, you will ensure bids are commercially competitive, profitable and delivered on time.
You will also provide guidance and support to the estimating team and contribute to developing new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate cost estimates, quotations and tender submissions.
- Review drawings, specifications and project documentation.
- Carry out site visits and surveys where required.
- Price works using Schedule of Rates (SORs) and first principles where applicable.
- Obtain competitive quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Liaise with clients, Contracts Managers and operational teams throughout the tender process.
- Identify value engineering and cost-saving opportunities.
- Mentor and support junior estimators.
- Ensure all submissions are completed accurately and within deadlines.
Requirements
- Experience as a
Senior Estimator or Estimator within Facilities Management, Building Services, M&E or Construction.
- Strong knowledge of tendering, estimating and commercial processes.
- Experience working with Schedule of Rates (SORs).
- Excellent communication, negotiation and organisational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and estimating software.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
