Maintenance Electrician – The Role
We're looking for an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join a growing mobile maintenance team covering student accommodation and residential apartment buildings across Sheffield.
As a Maintenance Electrician, you'll carry out planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs and fault finding, ensuring electrical systems remain safe, compliant and operating efficiently. You'll be working in occupied residential environments, so a professional approach and excellent customer service are essential.
Maintenance Electrician – Key Responsibilities
- Planned and reactive electrical maintenance
- Fault finding and diagnosis of electrical faults
- Repairs to lighting, power and distribution systems
- Testing, inspection and minor remedial works
- Carrying out small electrical installation works
- Completing job reports and maintenance documentation
- Liaising professionally with site teams, residents and management
- Taking part in a 1 in 4 call out rota
Maintenance Electrician – About You
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Previous experience as a Maintenance Electrician or in a commercial maintenance role
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Able to work independently across multiple sites
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Professional, reliable and customer-focused
Desirable
- Inspection & Testing (2391 or equivalent)
- Facilities Management or Building Services maintenance experience
