  • We’re looking for an experienced

Commercial Gas Engineer to join the on-site maintenance team at a large manufacturing facility in Burnaston, Derby.

This is a site-based role working across a large commercial gas and heating asset base, with approximately

50 gas appliances across the facility.

The role is focused on maintaining the site's boilers, water heating systems, gas-fired air heaters and associated heating plant .

Production machinery and AHU systems are maintained separately by the client and specialist contractors, so they won\'t form part of your day-to-day workload.

You'll be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding, repairs and gas safety work, helping keep the site\'s heating systems operating safely and efficiently.

  • What You\'ll Be Doing
  • Service, maintain and repair commercial gas boilers and heating plant.
  • Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance.
  • Fault find and repair commercial boilers and water heating systems.
  • Maintain direct and indirect gas-fired air heaters.
  • Diagnose faults across heating circuits, pipework and associated systems.
  • Maintain pumps, valves and associated heating equipment.
  • Carry out gas safety inspections and certification.
  • Respond to breakdowns and complete repairs and remedial works.
  • Support the maintenance of approximately 50 gas appliances across the site.
  • Complete gas safety, compliance and maintenance documentation accurately.
  • Support the wider engineering team with general mechanical maintenance where required.
  • What We\'re Looking For
  • Commercial Gas qualifications - COCN1/CODNCO1 or equivalent .
  • Relevant commercial gas appliance qualifications.
  • Gas Safe registered.
  • Commercial and domestic gas experience.
  • Minimum 2-3 years\' experience within a commercial gas environment.
  • Strong experience maintaining and fault finding on commercial boilers and heating systems.
  • Experience with water heaters and gas-fired air heaters.
  • Previous FM, manufacturing, industrial or commercial maintenance experience.
  • Good understanding of gas safety, compliance and certification.
  • Ability to pass a Basic DBS check.
