We are recruiting a Shift Electrical Engineer to join the on-site team at a prestigious commercial building near Liverpool Street. This is a day-shift role working 7am–7pm, suited to an electrically biased engineer with strong experience in PPM, fault finding and reactive maintenance within a commercial building environment. You will be part of an established shift team delivering reliable, compliant building services on a high-profile site.
The role:
- Electrical Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
- Electrical fault finding, repairs and reactive works
- Maintenance of lighting, power and LV distribution systems
- Acting as Low Voltage Authorised Person (LVAP) on site
- Supporting statutory compliance and safe systems of work
- Completing job sheets, permits and compliance documentation
- Liaising with the client and supervising subcontractors when required
- (Some mechanical exposure is involved, but this is an electrically focused role.)
What we’re looking for:
- Level 3 Electrical qualification (City & Guilds / NVQ or equivalent)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Experience in commercial building maintenance or FM
- Strong knowledge of PPM and reactive maintenance
- Comfortable working day shifts in a client-facing role
- LVAP certification
- HVAP experience is beneficial but not essential.
