We are currently recruiting for a Pipefitter / Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a large, static commercial site in Central Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled mechanical engineer looking for long-term stability, a continental shift pattern, and no night work.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering planned and reactive mechanical maintenance across a busy commercial building, with a strong focus on pipework systems, heating, and general building services.
Key Responsibilities- Mechanical planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Reactive maintenance and fault finding
- Pipefitting, pipework repairs and modifications
- Maintenance of heating systems, pumps, valves and associated plant
- Supporting general building services maintenance
- Ensuring all works are carried out in line with health & safety and compliance standards
- Accurate completion of job sheets and reports via CAFM system
- Qualified Pipefitter or Mechanical Maintenance Engineer (NVQ / City & Guilds or equivalent)
- Proven experience within commercial building services or facilities maintenance
- Strong knowledge of mechanical plant and pipework systems
- Experience working on static commercial or industrial sites preferred
- Reliable, proactive and able to work independently on shift
- £40,000 annual salary
- 4 on 4 off shift pattern (early & late shifts only – no nights)
- Static site in Central Birmingham (no travel)
- Overtime opportunities available
