Fabric Engineer
Location: Army Foundation College, Harrogate (Static Site)
Salary: £29,000 per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Shift: Any 8 hours between 6am and 6pm
On-Call: 1 week in 4 – £150 standby + minimum 2 hours paid for call-outs
The Role
We're looking for a Fabric Engineer to join the maintenance team at the Army Foundation College in Harrogate. This is a static role covering a large estate of 23 buildings and 137 homes.
You’ll carry out planned and reactive fabric maintenance, ensuring the site is safe, functional and maintained to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- General building and fabric repairs
- Carpentry and joinery
- Painting and decorating
- Basic plumbing repairs
- Door, lock, flooring and ceiling repairs
- Minor plastering and making good
- PPM and reactive maintenance
- Completing maintenance records
- Working alongside the wider engineering team
About You
- Previous fabric/building maintenance experience
- Good all-round maintenance skills
- Strong health and safety awareness
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK Driving Licence preferred
