A mobile Gas / M&E Engineer position has arisen for a growing contract covering a portfolio of care homes across the South Coast and up towards Guildford.
This role is ideal for a developing engineer looking to build experience across both gas and general building services within a supportive team environment. You will initially work as part of a wider mobile team, with the opportunity to take ownership of your own patch as the contract expands into 2026.
Key Responsibilities:- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works across multiple care home sites
- Undertake gas-related tasks including tightness testing and small-scale boiler maintenance
- Support general M&E maintenance across building services systems
- Ensure all works are completed in line with health & safety and compliance requirements
- Maintain accurate records, logbooks, and reporting across sites
- Liaise with site staff and management, providing a professional and reliable service
- Travel between sites as part of a mobile role
- Domestic Gas qualifications (essential)
- Some commercial gas tickets or willingness to develop (desirable)
- Basic understanding of M&E / building services maintenance
- Full UK driving licence
- Good communication skills and a professional approach
- Motivated and eager to learn, suited to someone developing their career
- Salary up to £47,000 depending on experience
