The Role
We are looking for an experienced Engineering Supervisor to oversee the engineering operation at a prestigious college site. You will manage one engineer while remaining hands-on, providing technical support and acting as a key point of contact for the client.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and support one on-site engineer
- Manage and coordinate contractors on site
- Review and manage RAMS and permits to work
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Act as a key point of contact for the client and provide regular updates
- Provide technical support and guidance to the engineering team
- Remain hands-on with planned and reactive maintenance when required
- Ensure all engineering works are completed safely and to a high standard
- Support the management of site compliance and health & safety requirements
- Manage the 1-in-2 call-out rota, providing mainly telephone support when required
About You
- Previous experience in an Engineering Supervisor, Lead Engineer or similar role
- Strong technical building services/M&E background
- Previous experience managing or supervising engineers
- Confident managing contractors, RAMS and permits
- Strong communication and client relationship management skills
- Good people management and leadership experience
- A hands-on approach with the ability to lead from the front
