Are you an experienced Electrical Testing Engineer, EICR Electrician, or Approved Electrician looking for a local role with minimal travel and excellent long-term prospects? We are looking for two Electrical Testing Engineers to join our growing team, carrying out domestic Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) and minor remedial works throughout the Stoke-on-Trent area. The Role

As an Electrical Testing Engineer, you will be responsible for inspecting and testing domestic electrical installations, completing EICRs, identifying defects, and carrying out minor remedial works where required. This is a customer-facing role, so we're looking for someone who takes pride in producing accurate reports, delivering high-quality workmanship, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) in domestic properties
  • Inspect and test electrical installations in accordance with BS7671
  • Identify faults and recommend remedial works
  • Complete minor electrical repairs and remedial works
  • Accurately complete certification and testing documentation
  • Ensure all work complies with current Wiring Regulations
  • Maintain high standards of health & safety
  • Deliver excellent customer service while working in occupied homes

Essential Qualifications

To be considered, you must hold:

  • JIB Gold Card (Approved Electrician)
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation
  • AM2
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing (or equivalent)
  • Full UK Driving Licence

Experience Required

  • Previous experience carrying out domestic EICRs
  • Strong fault-finding and testing experience
  • Experience completing minor remedial electrical works
  • Excellent understanding of BS7671 Wiring Regulations
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
  • Professional, customer-focused approach
