We are recruiting for a leading industrial maintenance provider delivering specialist services across combustion, boiler, and process plant systems within sectors such as manufacturing, food & beverage, and pharmaceuticals. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Commercial Gas / Combustion Engineer to join a highly skilled field-based team covering the South West.

This is a technically diverse role working on industrial burners, plant rooms, and process equipment, offering long-term stability, progression, and industry-leading benefits.

What’s on Offer

  • Up to £48,000 basic salary
  • Tesla Model 3 company vehicle (all engineers)
  • Door-to-door travel pay
  • £900 standby payment (1 in 12 call-out rota)
  • 33 days holiday (including bank holidays)

Key Responsibilities

  • Service, maintenance, and repair of industrial combustion systems and gas equipment
  • Fault finding, diagnostics, and breakdown response
  • Installation and commissioning of plant and associated systems
  • Testing and performance monitoring of equipment
  • Completion of digital service reports and compliance documentation
  • Identifying remedial works and energy efficiency improvements
  • Building strong working relationships with clients on-site

Requirements

  • Commercial Gas qualifications (COCN1, ICPN1, CIGA1, CORT1)
  • Strong background in combustion / industrial gas systems
  • Experience working in plant rooms or process environments
  • Electrical and mechanical fault-finding capability
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Flexible to travel and participate in call-out rota
