We are recruiting a Waste & Grounds Supervisor to support soft services delivery on a large, multi-building site in Filton. This role suits a Waste & Grounds Supervisor with strong operational and people-management experience who is comfortable overseeing waste compliance, grounds services and related soft services within a structured, high-standard environment.
As a Waste & Grounds Supervisor, you will support the Soft Services Manager in the day-to-day supervision of non-cleaning soft services, working alongside another supervisor who manages cleaning services. You will supervise a team of up to 20 personnel, covering:
- Waste management and waste compliance
- Grounds and external areas
- Mailroom services
- Moves and changes
- Other associated soft services
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring waste handling, segregation and disposal meet compliance standards
- Managing waste audits, documentation and statutory requirements
- Supervising grounds services to agreed standards and schedules
- Allocating and prioritising planned and reactive tasks
- Monitoring performance against KPIs and service levels
- Updating CAFM systems accurately and on time
- Supporting inductions, training and toolbox talks
- Managing consumables, equipment and stock levels
- Deputising for the Soft Services Manager when required
- Acting as a visible, professional presence on site
Candidate requirements:
- Experience working as a Waste & Grounds Supervisor or similar role
- Strong knowledge of waste compliance and operational controls
- Experience supervising grounds or environmental services
- Proven people-management skills
- Comfortable working on a large, secure or process-driven site
Package:
- Up to £40,000 basic salary
- 40-hour working week
- Monday–Friday days
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
- Long-term, stable contract
