Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Location: Stafford (ST16 3UB) Salary: Up to £38,000 per annum Job Type: Permanent Working Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:00am – 5:00pm | Friday, 8:00am – 12:00pm
The Opportunity
We are recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a leading facilities management provider on a large industrial site in Stafford.
This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a growing engineering team on a contract that has been established for just over a year and continues to expand.
You'll work alongside a close-knit team in a varied role carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance while benefiting from ongoing training and career development.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) and reactive maintenance across the site.
- Maintain and repair a range of mechanical building services equipment.
- Undertake maintenance on HVAC systems, including AHUs and associated plant.
- Complete general plumbing and mechanical maintenance tasks.
- Carry out fault finding and repairs on mechanical systems.
- Assist with basic building fabric maintenance where required.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with site health and safety procedures.
- Accurately complete maintenance reports and job documentation.
- Build positive working relationships with the client and wider engineering team.
About You
- City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2/3 in Mechanical Engineering, Plumbing, Building Services, or a related discipline.
- Previous experience within building services or facilities maintenance.
- Good mechanical fault-finding and maintenance skills.
- Experience working on industrial or commercial sites is desirable.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills with a proactive approach to maintenance.
