Are you a Shift Engineer looking for a stable static role with excellent earning potential? We're recruiting for a Shift Engineer to join a leading Facilities Management team supporting a highly secure, specialist environment in the Salisbury area. This role would suit an engineer with a mechanical bias or a strong building services/fabric maintenance background. You don't need to be heavily technical — the focus is on monitoring systems, responding to alarms and ensuring the smooth operation of the site.
The Role
- Monitor the BMS (Building Management System) and respond to alarms
- Identify issues and escalate faults when required
- Carry out basic mechanical and building services checks
- Complete routine site inspections
- Support planned and reactive maintenance activities
- Maintain accurate records and update reports
- Work alongside the wider engineering team to ensure site compliance
What We're Looking For
- Experience within Facilities Management, Building Services or Commercial Maintenance
- Mechanical bias preferred, although a strong general maintenance background would be considered
- Comfortable using or monitoring BMS systems
- Good communication and reporting skills
- Able to work a shift pattern covering both days and nights
- Willingness to obtain BPSS security clearance
