Are you a qualified Electrical Maintenance Engineer looking for a permanent, Monday-to-Friday role on a large commercial site in Rugby? We're recruiting for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join an established Facilities Management team at a major commercial facility near Rugby, Warwickshire. This is a static, single-site position, offering a £41,000 basic salary, Monday-to-Friday working hours and no requirement to travel between multiple sites.

You will be responsible for planned and reactive electrical maintenance, helping ensure the site's electrical and building services systems remain safe, compliant and operational.

The Role

Working as part of the on-site engineering team, you will carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance across the facility. The role will involve PPMs, fault finding, repairs, compliance checks and general electrical maintenance, alongside supporting the wider engineering team where required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
  • Complete reactive electrical maintenance and repairs
  • Diagnose and rectify electrical faults
  • Maintain lighting and emergency lighting systems
  • Carry out electrical testing and compliance checks
  • Maintain electrical distribution systems
  • Complete electrical remedial works
  • Carry out minor electrical installation works
  • Respond to breakdowns and maintenance requests
  • Identify additional remedial requirements
  • Complete job sheets and CAFM updates
  • Ensure all work complies with current electrical regulations
  • Work in accordance with site Health & Safety procedures
  • Liaise with the wider engineering and Facilities Management team
  • Support other building services maintenance where appropriate

What We're Looking For

We're looking for a qualified electrician with previous experience within commercial building maintenance, Facilities Management or a similar environment. You will need to be comfortable carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance and confident diagnosing electrical faults independently.

Qualifications & Experience

  • NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds Electrical qualification or equivalent
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • Previous commercial electrical maintenance experience
  • Strong electrical fault-finding skills

Inspection & Testing qualifications would be advantageous but are not essential unless otherwise stated. Experience within Facilities Management, commercial buildings, industrial facilities, logistics, distribution or large-scale estates would be particularly relevant.
