The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias to join a busy site on an immediate temporary basis, with the opportunity to secure a permanent position for the right candidate. This is a varied, hands-on role where you'll be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance, while also supporting a site relocation project.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) and reactive maintenance.
- Complete basic electrical work, including changing lighting and isolating/disconnecting distribution boards.
- Undertake general building fabric repairs and handyman duties.
- Support the site relocation, including move preparation.
- Build power benches, install shelving and assist with site set-up.
- Manage and liaise with contractors working on site.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with health and safety regulations.
- Respond efficiently to maintenance issues to minimise downtime.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience in a Multi-Skilled Maintenance, Facilities Maintenance or Building Services role.
- A strong electrical bias with experience carrying out basic electrical maintenance.
- Experience completing both planned preventative and reactive maintenance.
- A practical, hands-on approach with excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A flexible attitude and willingness to support a variety of maintenance activities.
An IPAF licence is desirable for operating scissor lifts and carrying out high-level lighting work but is not essential.
