SERVICE MANAGER – HARD FACILITIES MANAGEMENT Location: Northallerton / Leeming, North Yorkshire | Salary: £42,000 | Permanent, full-time | Site-based HVAC Recruitment is recruiting an experienced Service Manager for an established building maintenance and facilities services provider. Take ownership of planned and reactive maintenance, contractor performance and safe service delivery across a complex operational estate. Responsibilities: • Manage PPM, reactive repairs, statutory maintenance and minor works. • Supervise maintenance teams and subcontractors, ensuring suitably qualified staff, equipment and authorisations. • Oversee RAMS, permits to work, safe systems of work and compliance with fire, asbestos and legionella requirements. • Monitor KPIs, budgets, contractor performance and service records through CAFM systems. • Act as the main contact for site stakeholders, resolving issues and improving service. • Support small works, initial cost estimates and forward maintenance planning. What you'll need: • Experience managing hard FM, building services or planned/reactive maintenance. • Technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical or building maintenance and statutory compliance. • Strong contractor supervision, communication and commercial skills. • A relevant building services/engineering/FM qualification or equivalent experience. • Confident use of CAFM and Microsoft Office. • An HNC (or equivalent practical experience) in a building, civil, electrical or mechanical discipline. • A management-level health and safety qualification such as SMSTS is required. • Willingness to undertake training for authorised responsibilities such as asbestos, legionella, confined spaces or working at height.
