A leading mechanical and fire protection contractor in Bermuda is recruiting an experienced Sprinkler Fitter – Testing & Inspections specialist to support a growing portfolio of commercial and industrial clients.

This is a hands-on, site-based role focused on inspection, testing, service and compliance of water-based fire protection systems to NFPA standards — not domestic work. You’ll be working across major facilities, plant environments, commercial buildings, and critical infrastructure sites.

If you’re a qualified sprinkler fitter with strong NFPA knowledge and field experience in testing and inspection, this is a high-quality overseas opportunity with strong earnings and stable project pipelines.

Scope of Work

  • Testing & inspection of water-based fire protection systems to NFPA 25
  • Inspection and servicing of sprinkler systems, standpipes and hose systems
  • Fire pump inspection, testing and maintenance (electric & diesel)
  • Valve systems including PRVs, gate & butterfly valves
  • Hydrant installation and testing
  • Underground piping installation and testing
  • Special hazard systems including pre-action and gas systems
  • Field modifications to engineered systems in compliance with NFPA standards
  • Hydrostatic and pressure testing
  • System commissioning support
  • Material takeoffs and site procurement support
  • Maintaining accurate inspection reports, test documentation and as-built records

What You Must Have

  • Valid Sprinkler Fitter certification to North American standards (required)
  • Pipefitter or Steamfitter license (advantageous)
  • Strong working knowledge of:
  • NFPA 12, 13, 14, 20, 25 & 2001
  • 5–7+ years recent experience in sprinkler system installation, testing and inspection
  • Proven experience with commercial / industrial fire protection systems
  • Fire pump experience (electric & diesel)
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and fire system drawings
  • Strong documentation and reporting ability
  • Valid driver’s licence
  • Able to work safely in plant rooms, confined spaces, elevated platforms and construction environments
  • Physically capable of trade duties (lifting, ladders, staging, confined access)
