Role: Electrical Supervisor Location: Middlesbrough, UK Salary: Up to £46,000 per annum Type: Full-Time | Permanent | On-site We are looking for an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join our team at a state-of-the-art Data Centre in Middlesbrough. This is a key leadership role where you\’ll oversee electrical operations for mission-critical infrastructure in a high-availability environment. If you’re a qualified electrician with a background in Data Centres or critical systems and have the drive to lead, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. Key Responsibilities: * Oversee the operation and maintenance of critical electrical systems including UPS, LV/HV switchgear, standby generators, and PDUs * Lead and support a team of electrical technicians and external contractors * Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety regulations and company standards * Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and emergency repairs * Manage documentation including CMMS records, safety permits, and maintenance logs * Contribute to electrical capacity planning and infrastructure improvement projects * Respond to electrical faults and conduct root cause analysis Requirements: * Qualified Electrician (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent) * Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Data Centre or critical environment * Strong understanding of 18th Edition Wiring Regulations, UPS systems, and backup power infrastructure * Experience supervising technical teams and working with contractors * Proficient with CMMS and safety compliance documentation Desirable: * HV Authorised Person (or working towards certification) * Familiarity with BMS/EMS systems and Uptime Institute Tier standards * Health & Safety certifications (e.g., NFPA 70E, IOSH, or similar) This is a great opportunity to work at the core of the UK’s digital infrastructure.
