We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Plumber to join a large on-site engineering team supporting a high-profile commercial contract in Darlington. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established facilities management provider offering long-term stability, strong benefits and a professional working environment.
The successful candidate will deliver planned and reactive maintenance across mechanical and plumbing systems within a busy commercial environment.
The Role
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across mechanical and plumbing systems
- Working on hot & cold water systems, pumps, valves and associated plant equipment
- Fault finding, repairs and remedial works
- Supporting statutory compliance and maintenance requirements
- Completing maintenance paperwork and reports through CAFM systems
- Working closely with the client and wider engineering team
- Participating in the on-call rota (1 in 4)
Requirements
- NVQ / City & Guilds in Plumbing or Mechanical Engineering
- Experience within facilities management, commercial maintenance or building services
- Strong fault-finding and maintenance experience
- Good client-facing and communication skills
- Knowledge of pumps, valves, hot & cold water systems and general mechanical plant
- Full UK driving licence

- Water Hygiene / L8
- Basic HVAC knowledge
- IPAF / PASMA
- Experience using CAFM systems
