Job Title: Construction Manager – Defence Sector Location: High Wycombe Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum + Car Allowance Holidays: 26 days plus bank holidays Clearance: SC (minimum) We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join our Defence Region team, delivering a variety of construction and refurbishment projects across the MOD Built Estate in High Wycombe and the Southeast. This role offers the opportunity to manage projects valued between £100k and £5 million, overseeing the full construction lifecycle from planning to completion. Essential: Candidates must already hold High Level Security Clearance (SC or higher) or have recently lapsed clearance and must be UK Sole Nationals. Key Responsibilities: * Manage multiple construction projects simultaneously, prioritising workload effectively * Lead new build and refurbishment projects through all phases of construction * Plan, manage, and coordinate projects in line with MOD and company governance * Report progress, risks, and budget performance to senior stakeholders and clients * Manage stakeholder relationships, including clients, contractors, designers, end users, and military personnel * Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality and safety standards Essential Qualifications & Skills: * Background in Construction, Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering * CSCS Card holder * SMSTS qualification * Health & Safety qualification (IOSH or NEBOSH) * Active or recently lapsed Security Clearance (SC minimum) * Must be a UK Sole National and willing to undergo further clearance if required * Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills * Commercial awareness and experience managing a supply chain * Knowledge of RIBA phases advantageous * Proactive, solution-focused, and able to support the wider delivery team Benefits: * Up to £60,000 per annum * Car allowance included * 26 days annual leave plus bank holidays * Opportunity to work on high-profile MOD and defence infrastructure projects If you are an experienced Construction Manager with SC clearance looking to progress your career within the Defence sector, apply now to join a dynamic and supportive team
