Are you a qualified Electrician looking to build a career in the renewable energy sector? We're recruiting Solar PV Installers to join a growing national team delivering Solar PV, battery storage and EV charging installations for domestic customers across the UK. You'll cover a region local to your home, giving you the opportunity to work on industry-leading renewable energy projects while receiving ongoing training and career development. Electricians without previous renewable energy experience are encouraged to apply. Full training will be provided.
The Role
As a Solar PV Installer, you'll be responsible for installing, testing and commissioning renewable energy systems in domestic properties, ensuring every installation meets current electrical regulations and the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Install Solar PV systems, battery storage and EV charging points
- Carry out domestic electrical installation, testing and commissioning
- Diagnose and rectify electrical faults on site
- Complete installation certificates and compliance paperwork
- Ensure all work complies with the latest 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Deliver excellent customer service and explain installed systems to homeowners
- Maintain high standards of health, safety and workmanship
Requirements
Essential
- City & Guilds 2360 Part 1 & 2 (or equivalent electrical qualification)
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- 3-5 years' electrical installation experience
- Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable
- Solar PV installation experience
- EV charger installation experience
- Battery storage installation
- Air Source Heat Pump electrical wiring experience
Applicants with strong domestic electrical installation experience but no renewable energy background are welcome, as full product training is available.
