Air Conditioning Engineer Location - Ashford, Kent Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Holidays: 25 days annual leave + bank holidays (rising to 28 days after 5 years of service) About the Role We are currently seeking qualified and experienced Air Conditioning Engineers to support a long-term government contract. These are mobile roles where you’ll be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on HVAC systems across various government sites, ensuring service delivery meets the highest standards. We have two open positions — one based in Ashford, Kent, and one covering the South London region. About the company We\'re working with one of the largest FM companies in the UK and are looking for a Air Conditioning Engineer to join a team of engineers on a mobile contract covering one of their largest contracts in the UK across Somerset and surrounding areas on the M5 In this role you will be undertaking typical PPM/Reactive duties. It is vital in this role that you maintain on-site logbooks and ensure all works are compliant. This business is considered one of the largest FM employers across Europe having over 370,000 employees with an annual revenue of over £69b. Key Responsibilities * Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on air conditioning systems * Diagnose and rectify system faults efficiently * Ensure all work is compliant with health and safety regulations and company procedures * Maintain detailed and accurate service reports and documentation * Deliver excellent customer service while liaising with on-site contacts Requirements * City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2/3 in Air Conditioning or Refrigeration (or equivalent) * F-Gas Category 1 certification (essential) * Demonstrable experience in a mobile HVAC role * Full UK driving licence * Ability to pass BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) clearance * Strong organisational and communication skills * Self-motivated and able to work independently What’s on Offer * Salary up to £45,000 per annum * Paid travel time – ½ hour each way * 25 days annual leave + bank holidays (rising to 28 after 5 years) * Company van with personal use included * Fuel card, tools, uniform, and PPE provided * Life Assurance – 3x annual salary * Ongoing technical training and development opportunities * Long-term job security working on a stable government contract
