We are currently recruiting for an experienced HVAC Business Development Manager to join a growing building services company based in East Grinstead. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated sales professional with experience in HVAC, commercial gas or building services to play a key role in driving business growth.

The company specialises in maintenance, repair, installation and commissioning services across commercial gas systems, burners, air conditioning and wider building services. Working with a diverse client base including leisure centres, schools, residential developments and manufacturing facilities, the business has built a strong reputation for quality, reliability and technical expertise. Operating to the highest industry standards, the company holds multiple accreditations including Gas Safe, CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor and Refcom.
The Role
As Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing strong client relationships and supporting the company’s continued growth within the HVAC and building services market. You will work closely with internal service and technical teams to deliver tailored solutions for clients while ensuring the highest levels of service and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and secure new business opportunities within the HVAC and building services sector.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with new and existing clients.
- Generate leads through networking, market research and industry contacts.
- Prepare proposals, quotations and service agreements for clients.
- Attend client meetings and site visits to promote company services.
- Negotiate contracts and manage the sales process from initial enquiry through to completion.
- Work closely with service, operations and technical teams to ensure client requirements are delivered.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to support sales strategy and business growth.
Requirements
- Proven experience in business development or sales within HVAC, commercial gas or building services.
- Strong lead generation, relationship management and negotiation skills.
- Experience selling maintenance contracts, service packages or installation projects is desirable.
- Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple opportunities and priorities.
- Strong commercial awareness with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel for client meetings and site visits.
Salary & Benefits
- Salary up to £70,000 depending on experience.
- Bonus structure of 10-15% of salary.
- £416 per month car allowance.
