Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Salary: £38,000-£42,500 + Healthcare
Location: Northampton + Cambridge
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
Contract: Permanent
Overtime: 1.5x Monday-Saturday / 2x Sunday
About the Role
We're looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a Facilities Management team working across excellent commercial facilities.
The role is primarily based in Northampton, with at least 1 day per week in Cambridge, and focuses on PPM, reactive maintenance, fault finding and mechanical building services.
The Role
- Carry out PPM and reactive maintenance.
- Fault find and repair mechanical plant and building services.
- Maintain pumps, motors, belts and actuators.
- Work on commercial plumbing and heating systems.
- Carry out water sampling.
- Respond to helpdesk and client requests.
- Coordinate specialist subcontractors.
- Complete work safely in line with RAMS and Health & Safety procedures.
About You
- Mechanical maintenance experience within FM, Building Services or commercial properties.
- Minimum Level 2 NVQ in Plumbing or another mechanical discipline.
- Strong experience with PPM, reactive maintenance and fault finding.
- Good commercial plumbing / mechanical building services experience.
- Experience with pumps, motors, belts and actuators.
- Comfortable working to strict Health & Safety procedures.
- 18th Edition desirable, not essential.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
