SERVICE MANAGER - BUILDING MAINTENANCE | NORTHALLERTON / LEEMING

Β£42,000 | Permanent | Full-time | Site-based

An established facilities management provider is seeking a technically capable Service Manager to lead planned and reactive maintenance on a complex operational estate in North Yorkshire. This role is ideal for a Hard Services Manager, Maintenance Manager or technical Facilities Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Manage PPM, reactive repairs, minor works and mandatory statutory maintenance.
  • Coordinate engineers and contractors, checking appropriate competence, equipment and authorisations.
  • Review RAMS, permits and safe systems of work and lead safe operations.
  • Monitor contractor output, service KPIs, costs and CAFM records.
  • Provide technical advice, handle stakeholder issues and supervise/coaching site teams.
  • Scope minor works, prepare rough cost estimates and support forward maintenance plans.

Requirements

  • Practical technical experience in building services / hard FM maintenance.
  • Background supervising contractors or maintenance teams.
  • HNC in building, civil, mechanical or electrical discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Management-level Health & Safety qualification such as SMSTS.
  • Knowledge of statutory compliance, CAFM and Microsoft Office.
  • Willingness to train for authorised responsibilities including legionella, asbestos, confined spaces or working at height.
